We are Polaris Uk Pomskies and we are KC registered under the name of "Stella Polare", which is the Italian translation of Polaris, also known as the north star or the pole star.
We are a small family that breeds Pomskies (Siberian Husky, Pomeranian crossbreed). We believe in providing top quality Pomskies, specialising in superb health and temperament, good conformation, thus aiming for the perfect miniature husky appearance.
We are based in Swansea, Wales. Come and check us out, we cannot wait to expand our little family with you!
A Bit of Background
How We Got Started
Since I was a child I always wanted a dog. After a canary, a turtle and then a couple of goldfish I realised my parents would have never gotten me a puppy of my own as “we did not have time”. Instead of asking for a puppy again I just said “when I will be grown up I will have as many as I want”. I think everything started in that moment and destiny just gave it a little push.
I was 23 years old when I finally moved to the UK and literally only one week after my arrival I met David, my other half, best friend and now husband. After one year together we decided we both really wanted a dog. I immediately said “a husky!” but my partner said it was 'too big' to be our first dog, so then he proposed a Pomeranian, but for me that was 'a too small' dog, then we came across “The Pomsky”, literally the perfect blend of everything we wanted.
We got Leyla in August 2018, her eyes told me straight away she was the perfect one and in that exact moment the addiction for this crossbreed started.
Originally we had not planned to become professional Dog Breeders, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, after learning a lot about the breed, educating ourselves on the breeding process, seeking support from other breeders and studying about dog genetic and their DNA, we decided to do our part in preserving the breed and contributing in getting it established and registered worldwide.
